Orphan Sponsorship

Sponsor an Orphan through Uncharted International
Would you like to make a difference in a child’s future? In 1995, we helped establish an orphanage in Myanmar, starting with 22 children. The network has grown to eight orphanages will just under 400 orphans, a college and a widows home. $35 will feed, clothe, educate and shelter one child for one month. With your gift of monthly sponsorship, you can make a difference and provide basic necessities for these children.

Here are 2 different options for you to consider:

1. Sponsor an orphan
2. Sponsor an entire orphanage

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP FAQ’s

• What is the cost? (And what does the money help pay for?)
$35 per month. This helps provide food, shelter, clothing (basic living expenses of the child), as well as the school fee.

Uncharted does use a very small portion to cover administrative costs for running the Orphanage program (such as, development of the yearly pictures, brochures, etc).

• What do I receive?
You will receive a photo and video interview of the child you are sponsoring, along with a profile describing his or her interests and hobbies. It is our intention to provide you a new picture every year.

• Am I limited to only one orphan?
NO! You can sponsor as many as you want.

• Can I contact the child I sponsor?
YES! We encourage all sponsors who participate in the program to provide their picture, along with a letter describing family hobbies. These are delivered by the annual team. Unfortunately, sponsors cannot call or send direct mail. As a bonus, we try to bring letters back to the sponsors from their kids. Also, if you go to Myanmar, you will have the chance to meet and get to know the child you are sponsoring.

ORPHANAGE SPONSORSHIP FAQ’s

• What is this?
We have established several “smaller” orphanages that consist of 12 to 40 children. This program allows you the ability to sponsor the entire orphanage.

• What is the cost? (And what does the money help pay for?)
$100 per month. This goes towards the cost of actually running the orphanage – food, shelter, electricity, salaries, taxes, etc. While this amount doesn’t cover all the expenses, your gift will make a difference in providing for the precious children who are totally dependent upon the orphanage for survival.

• What do I receive?
You will receive a picture of the Orphanage Leader’s family, a picture of all the children, and a profile explaining the uniqueness of this orphanage. In addition, you may have access to periodic updates, financial statements, and prayer requests.

• How many orphanages are there?
The network has grown to eight orphanages will just under 400 orphans, a college and a widows home. Our main large orphanage has 178 orphans.
